SSRS Servers & Reports allows users to define specific report configurations that will be able to be displayed to operators using the data collection applications. (under development)
The configured SSRS Server can be used in Travel Ticket Types to print SSRS reports from Data Collect as a travel ticket.
You start by creating a connection to the report server, select the report you want to display and then specify the parameters for the generated report. You can also define multiple reports to be included in a single configuration so that the reports are cycled through.
Select the Reports tab and click SSRS Servers & Reports.
Click below the left-hand pane.
The Add/Edit SSRS Server popup opens.
Enter the following information:
Description: The name of the server. This doesn't have to match the actual name of the server.
URL: The full location of the server. This will look something like http://<server name>:<server port>/ReportServer. For example: http://ATSVM234:80/ReportServer.
Username: Username to access server.
Password: Password to access server.
Domain: Domain of username/password.
The user must either be a domain or local user on the SSRS server and have at least read only permissions to view the reports on the SSRS instance.
Click Test to ensure the connection works.
Click OK to save it.
Report Configurations contain one or more reports with specific parameters. These reports will be shown in rotation to the operator.
Click below the Configuration pane.
Enter a Description for the configuration.
Click to add a report to the configuration.
Select a report server to use. This must have been added as described above.
Drilldown into the report folders to find the report you require and click on it.
Modify the parameters as required and click Next.
Enter the name you want to display for the report.
Specify the following:
Max Display Pages: For reports with multiple pages you can specify the maximum number of pages to display.
Time Between Pages (secs): The amount of time each page will be displayed.
Time to Next Report (secs): How long this report will be displayed for before the next one is shown.
Click Next and then Finish to add the report.
If required, click to add further reports to the configuration or click OK to save it.
Selecting a configuration in the configuration pane will display the reports it contains in the lower-right pane.
You can also click below the configuration pane to preview what the report will look like with the current settings.
